STAINLESS STEEL RATCHETS- BACK BAND Pair

This Ratchet is a spare replacement part for the ratchet for Seat adjustments on many white water boats as well as some Sea and Touring Kayaks and even sit on tops.

These are used to tighten Backrests/ Backbands (and located either on the cockpit coaming/ Thigh braces or behind the backrest (in older kayaks)  and (in some cases) to adjust under thigh support e.g. Dagger Jitsu.

Brands that they are compatible with include Dagger, Wavesport and Wilderness Systems, Immersion Research, Necky, Liquid Logic, Prijon, Impex. Other brands such as Riot may also work.

Sold as a pair

They should in most cases just screw in using existing hardware but in some cases may need to be riveted in place

We suggest using the star rivet rather than a std rivet if it is not possible to put a washer in place over a bulb headed rivet.

Please inspect them regularly as there are some small metal pieces (springs etc) that are susceptible to salt and calcium built up and corrosion which can effect use by jamming the cam action or causing it to be less secure if they break. The Base plate and plastic are normally not effected
