Dagger Hip Pad Kit

This Dagger Hip Pad Kit adds control to your boat leans and aids in bracing and rolling. This is the Dagger brand and suits Dagger kayaks but will also fit other brands with models designed to take hip pads (e.g. Wavesport, Wilderness Systems). The Dagger hip pads are designed for a snug and comfortable fit. Foam hip shims are included to customize the fit and allow for different sized paddlers.
The Dagger Hip Pad Kit includes 2 Hip Pads, which are different for right and left sides, full set of foam shims and Velcro plates to help secure them in place whilst in use (these will need to be installed normally using rivets). Each pad unit is approximately 16.5cm long x 16.5cm wide and the depth. The thickness varies (Thicker at the top) and is adjustable by use of the foam shim pads.
This is the plain colour Hip pad and newer Dagger kayaks feature an alternate hip pad of different materials and shape (Contour Model).

This is officially designated as the Replacement Hip Pad Kit for Dagger kayaks with PFS, CFS Outfitting before 2013 can also be an upgrade to CFS-R Outfitting before 2013. The Dagger Hip Pad Kit is essential for control boat leans and Eskimo rolling. The Dagger hip pads are designed for a snug and comfortable fit. Hip shims can be used to customize the fit for any size paddler. Kit includes; 2 Hip Pads, right and left, full set of hip shims and Velcro for installation. Each pad unit is approximately 6.5 by 6.5 inches, adjustable thickness.

This means it is in the light grey colour rather than more modern colours and has all the extra bits to install from new (or to replace worn velcro etc.) It is generally compatible with more modern boats although some of the newer hip pads are longer top to bottom) and may have the buckle further from the edge of the hip pad (locating it behind the seat riser) so more difficult to access.
