Finn/ Spirit Foot Plate (Rudder Toe Control)

This is a single foot plate toe controller for a Finn Kayak (also found on some models of the rudder controller for Spirit kayaks) . The Foot plate is ambidextrous (just flip it over for the other size left/right)

This is the model that is attached with an external hinge. (also available) You can convert it to the model which had a pin through the base attaching it to the main foot rest. This was common in Multisport/ Kayaks as it shortens the height of the set-up significantly to fit under the deck. To do this however requires a degree motor control, a drill and a cutting tool (hacksaw or rotary tool (dremel) etc.) if you have one of these that needs replacing have a look and see if you feel up to it. If you don’t already have this system then either use the hinge version or  try one of our other footrest rudder control systems- Much easier.
