Kajak Sport Rudder Control Line- Dynema Cord w/length adjusters

This Kajak Sport Rudder Control Cord is made from Dynema and comes with a pair fine adjustment barrels to adjust the length of the cord once it has been installed, without access to either end. This allows 31cm of adjustment to the rudder line length.
Dynema cord is commonly used in kayaks for rudder controls as it is strong durable and doesn’t stretch. Dyneema it’s a high-strength, lightweight, and ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (HMWPE) fiber manufactured by DSM. This cord is may come in various colours but is often light grey.

Used in Kayaks and Surf Ski’s. This barrel adjuster allows fine tuning the length of the rudder cord without access to either end. The adjuster has no screw threads to get damaged or jammed (unlike some other systems) and requires  no tools to use. Highly suitable for marine environments and exposed to salt sand and water.

The Adjuster works by threading the cord through the shroud and then a central hole at the end of the body. The cord is then wrapped it around the central core to shorten the cord. This can be done later whilst it is in situ (without access to either end). The cord then exits via one of a number the notches on the collar at the other end allowing you to shorten the cord by a fraction of a complete turn. The shroud slides over the central core to keep it secure clean neat and tidy
