ve offside canoe paddle glass blade glass shaft
The VE Offside Canoe Paddle Glass Blade Glass Shaft is a touring canoe paddle with a blade suited to paddling for longer periods where not every stroke is vertical. The Offside also has a smaller blade area compared to the Pro Canoe, with the round edges helping knifing and other control strokes.
This blade is made from 100% glass fibre which is pre-impregnated with toughened epoxy resin making it strong, robust and hard-wearing.
Supplied with a ground glass shaft with is more flexible but slightly heavier than carbon shaft. If you’re looking for a stiffer and lighter shaft and paddle choose the aircore carbon version.
Fitted with VE’s ergonomic grip, giving a precision fit flush to the shaft.
This Canoe Paddle is uncut and supplied with the ergo grip not fitted. This enables you to cut the paddle to your exact specifications. We are happy to cut and fit the handle for you if you supply the dimensions you require. (Can be secured with either a commercial grade Hot glue-so the paddle may be shortened easily by taking the handle off prior to cutting, or with a more permanent epoxy glue)
