Ocean Kayak Hard Hatch Cover- Cabo, Scupper

This is a hand made replica hard hatch cover and doesn’t come with any trimlock seal. The original version also featured a threaded insert used to screw the webbing onto the cover (used to secure the cover to the kayak when open)- you will have to use a G316 Stainless Steel nut, bolt and washer (not supplied) in this model but the position of the hole is marked making it easy to do a neat job.
Made to fit the Scupper Pro, Caper, Drifter, Prowler 15, Cabo tandem
Note that there were probably 3 different version of hatch covers depending on the age of your kayak this appears to be modelled on the 2nd version (probably made from 2002 to 2008) but they are all a similar pear/teardrop shape. You can get this model to fit earlier model kayaks but it may not work as easily as your original. The Seal on the edge varied by model with some kayaks only having seal on the hatch rim and some on the hatch rim and the hatch cover.

We’re not able to help you much as we don’t have any of these kayaks in stock but you are welcome to buy one and try it out.

We can make these to order so if you need a fleet quantity. Try one out to make sure it suits your purpose and then let us know the quantity you require and we’ll get them made up.
