The PeakPS Standard Deck is a tight, secure and tough spraydeck that is also easy to fit and remove. This is the version for larger cockpits found in white water and sea kayaks, labelled the PeakPS Standard “plastic” Spraydeck by Peak Paddlesports. The Standard Spray skirt features durable waterproof Blind stitched and latex sealed seams throughout.
IMPORTANT – when measuring cockpit length and width: Measurements are made from the outside of the rim. When looking at size charts please make sure you have external rim measurements of your kayak.

This is the version for larger cockpits and comes in Small, Keyhole, Big, and Huge Cockpit sizes.
The PeakPS Standard SprayDeck is also available to suit smaller cockpits found in slalom, DR, WW (and other kayaks) here. Check the size chart for your correct version.
The PeakPS (formerly PEAKUK ) Standard Spray Deck is a tight, secure and tough spray skirt that is also easy to fit and remove. Used by many elite canoe slalom athletes and also great for beginner to intermediate whitewater kayakers. (There is also an even easier to fit EZ deck however this is not available in competition sized cockpits).
It’s Peak Paddlesports best selling spraydeck and suitable for most disciplines – from slalom, to whitewater, to sea kayaking. The Standard Deck is the easiest neoprene model from PeakPS to fit, yet is still highly reliable (as used by numerous World / Olympic medallists over the years.) If you are looking for your first neoprene deck, or you struggle with fitting the tighter decks for any reason, then this is the spraydeck for you.
- Blind stitched and latex sealed seams throughout
- 10mm shockcord style deck rand (the Competition version has a Smaller Cord Diameter (9mm) to better suit the Slalom & competition size decks)
- 4mm tough faced neoprene with latex reinforcing on top

IMPORTANT – when measuring cockpit length and width: Measurements are made from the outside of the rim. When looking at size charts please make sure you have external rim measurements of your kayak. Note: some kayak manufacturers list the cockpits internal opening size on line. This is to help judge how snug it is when you sit inside/ get in and out- this doesn’t help with skirt fitting as much as you’d like.

PeakPS Standard SKirt has had a rename so that there are now two version the Competition and the Plastic. Competition is for smaller cockpits and has a smaller diameter shock/bungee cord (9mm) and the Plastic has larger cockpit sizes and has a larger diameter cord (10mm) to better suit larger cockpit holes and more rounded less grippy plastic coamings.

ABOUT PEAK PS
Peak UK was formed back in 1990 when its founder Pete Astles was an up and coming slalom racer, funding his sport by working in a local kayak store. He fell ill and could not train for a few months, so became bored. As the products in the store were badly designed and sized poorly he decided to try making some garments of his own. With help from a sewing machinist friend they soon made a prototype jacket and PFD. His fellow slalom racers all wanted these jackets and PFDs, and that’s how it all began... Pete borrowed some cash from his father, purchased a sewing machine, some fabric and foam, then learned how to make garments, for the first few years making almost all of them himself, buying new machines and learning how to operate them as he went along. Now, over 30 years later Peak UK is one of the world’s leading brands of kayaking wear. The Peak UK Kayaking Company is located in the heart of the Derbyshire Dales, near to the River Derwent at Darley Bridge. In 2012 they proudly built their very own purpose built factory on the edge of the Peak District National Park. The new premises enabled them to pioneer our production of custom kayaking gear in time for the London 2012 Olympic Games and the game changing Racer ST, which claimed gold and silver at Rio in 2016. For the Tokyo Olympics the ST2020 was launched, claiming 9 out of 12 medals in canoe slalom. Peak's main home, the Derwent Valley, is a World Heritage Site. The Industrial Textile Revolution began here more than 200 years ago. They are proud to have brought back a new textile revolution to the area.
In 2021 we launched Peak subsidiary company, Peak EU. Based in Wexford, Ireland, Peak EU allows them to continue to supply into the EU as smoothly as possible following Brexit, and marks the next step forward for Peak UK worldwide.
In autumn of the same year Peak announced that from 2022 our products will now be manufactured under the new Peak Paddlesports (Peak PS) branding. Following the launch of Peak EU we decided to move the branding away from the UK geographical reference and go with a more global, inclusive feel. Peak UK and Peak EU will still exist as the businesses that run the Peak PS brand.

Nice fit around waist. Smooth deck with tough edges. The bungy is solid and well stitched on. There is quite an amount of extra neoprene around the bungy that seems to impede the install of the deck to the cockpit rim, it will probably just need some use to wear it in we will see. Overall a good product for the price.
