Sea-lect Footbrace Slide

This works with Sea-lect brand recreation style foot braces (Red locking lever behind the foot peg -see video).

This is a single replacement rail or track used on kayaks with sea-lect recreational model footrests to control the rudder by moving the footrest and rail foward and backwards pulling the rudder cables to control rudder direction.

Can also be used to convert Sea-Lect fixed footbraces to moving footbraces for controlling a rudder. You will need one track for each side so for new installs order 2 Foot Control Tracks.

Sea-Lect, is also known as Sea Dog in some locations. These track/ rails or channels are mounted to your kayak hole with 2 screws (not supplied). Hole spacing is

approximately 36-37cm apart centre to centre (one hole is a slot to allow ease of fitting and can deal with variation within this size range. There may be some slight further room depending on the size of your mounting hardware (screw).

Total Length of a rail is approx 40cm

Made from tough black plastic

The crossection of the channel is similar to that found in some older model kayaks from Neck Ocean kayak and Old Town (Johnson Outdoors) but is shorter and I am not sure of the hole spacing but could be used as a replacement for some models in these brands too.

Sealect is supplied as a standard part on a number of international brands including some models of Wilderness systems kayaks produced during Covid shortages.
