Named after Perth’s world class Snapper down wind paddling run this is a great ski that does it all, but fast. Made from plastic it comes fitted with an underslung rudder but is also able to be fitted with a trailing rudder making it suitable for use in shallower water like the Avon Decent, the integrated Venturi Scupper is flush with the hull when closed (no protrusions to get knocked off) but sucks the water out when open making it further suitable for shallow river paddling as well as large swell wet downwinders.
Made from a triple Layer plastic makes a stiffer and lighter strong plastic kayak. Known by various names this is made all in part from the same material with the the middle layer being aerated/foamed slightly. This increases the thickness of the plastic making much stiffer than a thinner plastic kayak of the same weight. The difference in stiffness is immediately noticeable with the lack of deflection or flex on the deck and hull of these skis.
Large Rear Oval hatch will hold gear or spare paddle, great for the Avon Descent to carry emergency kit without the risk of it being ripped off in the trees or rapids, but also handy for holding gear for a weekend trip camping or day trip to rotto.
