Surge Paddle Clamp Medium

Surges medium sized Paddle Clamp fits to the outside fo a paddle shaft and used to secure an adjustable paddle shaft at the correct length. This version fits entirely over the outside of the paddle shaft and clamps the external existing paddle shaft onto the internal spigot. Clamp does not contact the smaller paddle shaft/spigot. This means it requires a split in the paddle shaft to allow the paddle to contract and the clamp to work.

This clamp contracts the external paddle shaft around the internal shaft (spigot) so needs a slot or slit in the paddle to allow the paddle shaft to move and grip the smaller shaft inside.
Has a small lip to hide the external edge of the shaft (that is mounted on)for a clean look reinforce the slot and ensure good glue adhesion.
You will normally sand your paddle shaft slightly to ensure adhesion so there is less need for accuracy with dimensions but this clamp will fit around 25.5 mm external diameter paddle shafts

This joiner style was found on Boardworks SUP paddles, older Adventure Technology Kayak paddle joiners (with a slot in the paddle shaft), and this may prove a suitable replacement clamp for some models however you will need to check your paddles shaft diameter it may suit smaller shaft versions but will likely not suit the standard size- check before ordering.
Typically this is glued into place and we use a good quality 2 part epoxy but with care it could be used without glue or a different (ensure the gap in the clamp lines up with the slot when in use)
