Surge Valve Tool- Halkey Roberts Style

This tool works by slotting into the supporting struts on a Halkey Roberts style valve enabling the tool to act like a spanner and turn the valve like a nut. These valves are made in 2 parts with the visible external section (male fitting) screwed into a base on the inside of the inflatable (female fitting) so with the correct tool providing leverage and some grip on the bottom section Halkey roberts valves are typically easy to remove for cleaning replacement or servicing.

Because of the flexible nature of the fabric you can remove the internal (female) section by pulling on the fabric to make the round hole into a more oval “slit” and sliding the flange out the enlarged diameter.

Please note that Halkey Roberts valves can vary in the layout of the struts (that the tool uses to grab onto) both in the number of struts and therefore location as well as the width of the strut no tool will have key slots that fit all valves.

For this reason we don’t recommend ordering this tool without checking first if we have one suitable for your valve model. Please note we stock different models so image may  not represent the key slots of current stock.
