These small 20mm Round Toggles or Beads are often used to control rudder raising and lowering in kayaks with trailing systems like recreational sit on tops, kayaks or sea kayaks other uses include controlling the position of lines for other purposes (Sails anchor trolleys etc.) or on a shock cord bungy lashing system as found in some Perception and wilderness systems accessories.
These toggles come with a hole that is a smaller diameter on one side than the other – enabling a knot to be placed inside the ball keeping it all secure, neat and tidy.
Suits up to 5mm cords.
These 20mm Balls or beads are also available in a 25mm size. They provide a convenient way to terminate control cords and or provide a textured grip for pulling.
Most commonly in kayaking they are used to raise or lower (Uphaul or downhaul) a trailing rudder as used by sea kayaks, recreational kayaks,and recreation sit on tops.However they are also used in sail systems, seat systems and in shock cord loops (used to lash or secure items on your kayak )
Available in multiple colours the bead features a stepped bore or recess on one side to contain a stop knot hidden away inside the bead..

Other Names include Parrel Beads, rope stoppers, tie balls, halyard stoppers, or stopper balls, they make excellent line terminations but can also be fitted inline. At the end of a line, these toggles can provide an easy-to-grab end knob as well as being a durable stop to prevent the line from pulling all the way through the deck fitting. In applications where they would not need to be removed with each use, stopper balls can be more reliable and effective than a stopper knot at the end of the line. They are also commonly found on the end of shock cord in various applications.
