Tribe Seat Pad Large

The Perception Tribe Seat Pad is best used as a replacement part for the Tribe tandem 13.5 sit-on-top kayak (2016 onwards fits both seats on current model), and Tribe solo kayaks 9.5 and 11.5, from 2016-2018 to 2019. Earlier Perception Tribe kayaks are outfitted differently, and current model single seater Tribes (2019 onwards) use a different pad.

Starting in 2020 Single seater Tribes feature a metal framed seat backrest and no longer use this pad. Use standard sit-on-top seats for Tribe Tandem made 2014 and earlier. Use the Wilderness System Seat Pad for Tribe Tandem made circa 2014, for both bow and stern

• This seat secures with 4 screws and caps sold separately (pad has 6 holes but only comes with 4 stainless steel screws and 4 plastic screw cover caps)-

Note that hardware provided (screws) may not be the same as what is used in your current model- e.g. the rear seat in the 2026 Tribe 13.5 uses 2 coarse thread self tappers at the rear and 2 fine thread screws at the front (into washer and nut) the 4 screws provided are shorter than these screws the correct length for threading into inset nuts. Typically reusing your current G316 Stainless steel hardware is the best solution.
