ve creeker aircore carbon blade 2 piece carbon shaft
The VE Creeker Aircore Carbon Blade 2 Piece Carbon Shaft whitewater kayak paddle blade is designed to be a great all-round paddle that is smooth and well balanced. This is the two piece version which makes for easier transport and storage as well as length adjustability for different boats, paddlers, or conditions.
Narrower than the Pro the mid-sized blade, which tapers towards the neck; the Creeker has a gradual power transfer along the length of the stroke, ideal for long days on the river.
The blade’s area is neutrally aligned either side of the dihedral with the area being well distributed along both the length and width of the blade.
This suits a wide range of kayak paddlers from beginners, to river runners, hardcore creek boaters and those paddling ‘day in and day out’ working in the kayak industry.
The Creeker kayak paddle blade suites longer lengths used in ‘mid to longer length’ river and creek boats and those looking for a blade less powerful than our Pro whitewater paddle range.
Supplied as standard with a ground carbon shaft its stiffer and lighter than our glass shaft for when reaction times really matter. If your looking for a shaft with more flex choose the glass version.

Performance Blades
VE’s Aircore carbon blades give you the stiffness and buoyancy of a foam-core blade with the reliability of laminate edges for a longer-lasting, higher performance paddle.
No Foam Core
VE have developed the spine geometries of their paddles and combined with their manufacturing process that means they can use a hollow spine instead of a foam core, resulting in more reinforcing fibres in the blade and also less weight.
Due to the weight saved by this process, VE blades typically have 30% more reinforcing fibres than their competitors and they can still produce a lighter, stronger paddle.
By having a hollow core, the extra reinforcing material VE use prevents the puncturing problems that are common with foam-cored paddles.
VE have designed their paddles with structural analysis software and they have been tested and approved by some of the world’s best paddlers with outstanding feedback – VE are building super-strong blades which flex in the right places and feel great on the water.
Optimised Spine
VE Aircore carbon blades have a tapered spine which has been optimised to give an exceptionally strong blade whilst keeping the cross-sectional profile to a minimum. This gives a blade which slices through the water with ease and a geometry that looks amazing.
At VE, they’re very picky about materials.
They only use the highest quality woven and unidirectional high-strength carbon and glass fibres which come pre-impregnated with top-quality toughened epoxy resin.
Using prepreg materials is different to most other manufacturers who use a liquid epoxy resin with dry fabrics.
VE paddle’s resin is a blend of thermosetting epoxy with a thermoplastic additive which, in simple terms, means it’s tougher and more damage tolerant than a conventional liquid epoxy.
Using a prepreg-based manufacturing method VE achieve a greater scratch resistant surface finish with no gel coat or lacquer which add weight instead of strength.
VE can also rely on their materials’ consistency, because they’ve got exact and accurate control over the fibre-to-resin ratio and where they lay the fibres. More science equals more strength and toughness!
The VE logos are moulded into the blades, not post applied stickers or prints. This ensures that even after years of abuse they will still be intact.
Unlike most other manufacturers, VE carbon blades are made from 100% carbon fibre, not just a carbon layer on the outside hiding the glass on the inside.
