Kajak Sport Skeg Blade with Centre Control Wire

This Kajak Sport Skeg blade is a replacement for a lost or damaged skeg (or skeg wire).
This Skeg blade is made from injection moulded reinforced plastic in a foil shape, and designed as a retractable skeg. It is a replacement skeg blade for Kajak Sport’s skeg system “pro”. The Skeg blade is made of durable and stiff glass reinforced nylon. The Wire cable to extend and retract the skeg blade is fitted as part of manufacture (moulded in). This cable has a 3mm diameter and is 2.5 metres long.

This is the same skeg blade as the end control wire skeg blade but has the moulded in cable in a different location (at the end of the blade rather than the middle). Other shapes are also available from kajak sport and other brands like Dagger and Wilderness Systems

This Skeg has been used by many OEM manufacturers so may be the replacement for the skeg found on your kayak. Brands that have used this skeg on some (or all) of their models include Tahe Marine, Zegul, TideRace and Rebel and many others. it’s a very good idea to pull our or at least look at your old skeg to make sure it is the correct model prior to purchace)
