Kajak Sport Skeg System Pro Type 3 with Flange (Wire Version)

The Kajak Sport Skeg Pro System 3 is a powerful and reliable retractable skeg system for all kinds of kayak- composite, thermoformed and polyethylene. This is the complete kit of all the parts and designed for you to install into your kayak.

This injection moulded skeg box is made to stay clean from dirt and other obstacles to reduce the risk of jamming. The skeg blade is well supported in and out of the skeg box with an integrated framework. The box is simple to install to a kayak either from in- or outside, During kayak production or post (retrofitted). The system includes skeg control unit, tubing and cable. The skeg control unit can be installed in to the deck of the kayak with or without a recess. The Control unit is simple and easy to use.

Skeg Box with a flange enables the skeg to be screwed (e.g. for roto moulded plastic kayaks where glue is not reliable) or glued into place. Flange can add strength when fitted to a composite boat but can be trimmed or cut off if it will interfere with your kayak’s hull.

Note that this control unit can also be combined with other skeg systems as well.
