Damaged your surfboard or kayak or SUP? Ocean & Earth’s Epoxy Solarcure Resin (2oz) uses a new solarcure formula which cures faster than ever before but is less hazardous and more environmentally friendly.
This 2oz (55 gram) option is suitable for larger repairs and includes some woven fibreglass cloth to seal and reinforce larger holes and cracks
To use, clean the area, apply the glue (resin) (and cloth if required) expose to UV light (the sun) (use the solar film over the top for a smoother finish and quicker results) wait a small amount of time (5 minutes but it varies depending on thickness of application and amount of UV) while it hardens in the light, clean it up with sand paper or just get back in the water and clean it up later.
Also includes Solar Film which speeds up curing time and helps to smooth out the finish reducing (eliminating) the need to sand the results
This repair kit is designed for composite (Fibreglass/ Carbon fibre/ Kevlar) craft including kayaks and skis as well as surfboards and contains No Styrene or VOC compounds which can effect your health and is more environmentally friendly than other solarcures. Perfect for home repairs and travelling, an essential item for every surfer.

Why choose epoxy-
Epoxy resin is a universal repair resin, ideal for most fiberglass repairs. Epoxy can adhere to a polyester base. This means that if the original part that is being repaired was created with polyester resin, the epoxy repair will still adhere well to it. The opposite is not true. (Epoxy will also adhere to epoxy and vinyl ester resins)
As well epoxy cures well in thin layers. Polyester does not typically cure well in thin layers. Epoxy has much more flexural strength than polyester and has little to no shrinkage. As well as great moisture resistance.
Epoxy resin also has a much stronger bonding strength (mechanical bond) than polyester resins very useful in repairs.
