* Surfers ear is very common over here in windy conditions. If you know many people who surf or spend time in the water combined with wind chances are you will know someone who has this even if they don’t talk about it. It can cause deafness, Once you become deaf enough it is able to be fixed with surgery (normally leave it alone till it gets bad) but it’s better not to get it by wearing a cap to protect your ears from the cold.
