Blade

The blade shape of the Torres is suitable for medium high to lower angle paddlers has very little flutter without too much dihedral reducing power, making it very polite in the water and reducing the effort required to hold the paddle during normal strokes.
The foam core of the Torres paddle blade means that the blade floats bringing it to the surface quickly making it ideal for bracing and rolling, giving you light feeling, buoyant strokes. The Foam core of the Torres blade give the back of the blade a convex and smooth shape for a quiet on entry and exit for each stroke.

Both the blade and the shaft the Torres are made from carbon fibre twill that is both strong/durable as well as light (and good looking- making the trifecta).

Shaft

The ergonomic shape of Torre’s shaft is bent to make gripping easier and to reduce stress on joints in the wrist, elbow and shoulders whilst paddling. The profile of the hand locations as well as being angled relative to the rest of the paddle (to match the natural angle of your knuckles) is also modified to a slightly pear shape which provides a more comfortable and secure grip than a standard round or oval paddle shaft, reducing the force required to hold the paddle especially in rough conditions.
This shaping- sometimes called a pear shape (on both the left and right sides) also means you will never have any doubt as to the angle of your blade relative to your arm making you constantly aware of the paddle position and making it super easy to setup for rolling or sculling.
The blade shape  of the Torres combined with adjustable feather angle, 10cm of shaft length adjustment and availability in different lengths is available in a size to suit most paddlers in most boats but is ideal for medium to higher angle paddler.

Other Features

Drip rings on either side of the shaft are included but hardly necessary given the clean release from the water but round off the design.

The Torres has a robust and easy to use joiner- making it easy to choose any feather angle, pull the paddle apart for transport and storage even with cold wet hands. The paddle joiner has no hidden springs or teeth to jam or seize and is adjustable to allow it to be tightened in case of paddle wear over time.
