Wave Sport’s Horizon 160T Tandem Touring and Sea kayak is an easy to manage capable kayak.

This model of the Horizon comes with a flip up trailing rudder fitted by wavesport in the manufacturing process to aid with control in windy or rough conditions.

Light weight and dual moulded in handles at the bow and stern make the horizon tandem kayak a doddle to manoeuvre out of the water allowing it to be comfortably managed by 2 adults, or allowing 4 children their own handles (when used in a school setting for example). If fully loaded for a group expedition up to 8 people can comfortably get a grip to get from the vehicle to the water (2 at each end and 2 on each cockpit). The moulded handles add comfort when carrying and give control when tilting and twisting to empty or to place on an angle or upside-down for storage and transport.

Manufactured in the UK from top quality and durable high density polyethylene, the Horizon is built to go the distance. The Horizon offers a very stable and predictable hull shape while not compromising on speed or efficiency over distance. Its long waterline length keeps you going in the right direction on open water crossing, while remaining nimble enough to tackle tighter waterways like canals and rivers.

The generously sized cockpits makes getting in and out of the Horizon easy and comfortable for a huge range of paddlers. Moulded in thigh braces and adjustable foot braces allow for a good fit for paddlers of varying heights and sizes.

The front and rear watertight hatches offer ample room for kit, whether you’re packing a picnic or loading up for a weekend expedition.  Deck bungees in front of each paddler allow further storage option for items you want to keep close at hand. Ergonomic handles allow for easy transport to and from the water, and a dedicated security point offers peace of mind when locking the kayak at home or on the roof of your car.
