This is the lower volume version of the renowned Wave Sport Hydra 145 (also available in the 12.5 foot length in standard and LV). This lower volume kayak is designed for smaller and medium sized paddlers to enable a better fit with easier access to the water with your paddle enabling greater control whilst still retaining comfort for all day use.

HYDRA – 145 / 145 LV

The Hydra 145 and Hydra 145 LV are a pair of sporty tourers with modern hull designs leading the way in the under 15 foot arena.

At only a slightly reduced length, the Hydra 145 LV punches the same impressive combination of acceleration, top speed, tracking and handing that the Hydra 145 displays. However, the notable difference in this Low Volume version is the closer fitting cockpit area with a reduced height around the knees – this gives better contact and control for the small to medium sized paddler.

By contrast, the increased height around the knees in the Hydra 145 – gives more room and comfort for the medium to large sized paddler.
