The Norse Bylgja is a hardchine kayak with a firm skeg. The Bylgja tracks extremely well in all conditions, and turns on a dime. All norse sea kayaks have a hull reinforced with aramid all the way through their keel. But in addition to this the chines are also reinforced to take a beating. This kayak has three bulkheads, and as for storage room; two dayhatches.

The Bylgja Fibreglass is a sleek and responsive sea kayak. The boats hard chine hull design means you have full edge control and it will turn on a dime. The lightweight V-shaped hull and firm skeg makes it easy to maintain speed and track efficiently in all conditions. This boat is particularly suited for medium to larger paddlers (60-110kg) – offering comfort and performance.
This kayak has three bulkheads and it’s fibreglass composite hull means this boat is light and rigid – making its performance sleek & efficient. In addition to aramid reinforcement in the keel, this model also has side reinforcements to withstand a lot of punches. The Bylgja is also available in carbon fibre – You can check it out here.
The Norse Bylgja Fibreglass has 2 easy access day hatches located just in front and behind the cockpit. It has plenty of storage available inside the bow & stern hatches making it perfect for longer expeditions. The deck bungee also adds some extra storage space for those item you want to have super quick access to.
The cockpit ergonomics are designed for all day comfort. The seat gives plenty of support while minimizing pressure points.
For smaller paddlers (45-80kg) we suggest checking out the Bylgya’s smaller companion the Norse Idun Carbon.

Norse are a Norwegian based paddle sport company, and have been in the Industry since 2001. In 2013 they started the development of the Norse Kayaks. Using their long experience in arranging sea kayaks classes, they have developed the best possible kayaks for Norway’s demanding coastline.
