Adjustable shockcord:
To fit a wide variety of cockpit widths and lengths, some touring and recreation spraydecks have adjustable shockcord fastenings. By tightening the rear adjuster buckle, the shockcord circumference can be reduced to fit on smaller cockpit rims or for a tighter fit on larger ones. The shockcord runs through a tough polyurethane sheath around the deck, which helps it grip.
