Nickel plated copper swage for stranded stainless steel wire or cable (rope). These swages or ferrules provide a long Lasting and easy to use method of securing rudder cable to rudders and foot rests. Suits cable up to 1.6mm (1/16″) diameter.

This Nickel plated Copper crimp is designed to secure stainless steel cable (e.g. Rudder steering lines) in marine environments (Harsh warm salt water) to deter deterioration.

This suits our 1/16 inch (1.6mm) rudder cable found on many kayaks including those from wilderness systems, Dagger and Perception that have stainless steel rudder cables.

Suitable for use with hand tools – no need for a dedicated swaging tool

Designed for 1.6 mm or 1/16” inch diameter cable but can be used on slightly smaller diameter cable easily enough

We do also stock 1/16 inch (approx 1.6 mm) copper swages that will fit this same cable. For larger cable we carry a 2mm version of this copper with nickel coating to suit larger diameter cables.
