Nickel plated copper swage for stranded stainless steel wire or cable (rope). These swages or ferrules provide a long Lasting and easy to use method of securing rudder cable to rudders and foot rests. Suits cable up to 1.6mm (1/16″) diameter.

Deliveries to regional and remote take longerThis Nickel plated Copper crimp is designed to secure stainless steel cable (e.g. Rudder steering lines) in marine environments (Harsh warm salt water) to deter deterioration.
This suits our 1/16 inch (1.6mm) rudder cable found on many kayaks including those from wilderness systems, Dagger and Perception that have stainless steel rudder cables.
Suitable for use with hand tools – no need for a dedicated swaging tool
Designed for 1.6 mm or 1/16” inch diameter cable but can be used on slightly smaller diameter cable easily enough

We do also stock 1/16 inch (approx 1.6 mm) copper swages that will fit this same cable. For larger cable we carry a 2mm version of this copper with nickel coating to suit larger diameter cables.
Harmony Rudder Cable kits includes all the parts required to fit new cables to rudders found on older model Wilderness Systems, Perception, Dagger & Mad River Rudder kits and does not require extra swages.
