OrigiNZ Rudder Rear Housing

This lightweight and robust rudder mount, is best suited as a replacement for damaged or rudders where the blade and associated sections are still ok but the rotating rudder box is broken. This is the bit that sits on the end of the kayak, holds the rudder blade in place and allows it to swivel left and right, as well as raise and lower.

Comes with Rudder box and rudder axle (and screws). Does not include the rudder blade, rudder raise/lower cord or steering cables/cords. (All available separately). Rudder blade and mount available as a complete item.

Suitable as a replacement for the older (heavier) metal version however may require a pin insert adaptor as the rudder pin on this is .

You can fit yourself, screws require a robertson head (square) screw driver

As used on kayaks such as the Mission Eco Bezhig, Contour series (450,480 and 490) Catch EXP and other models, it is compatible with any of the Mission kayaks that are rudder capable, but may require and adaptor for the rudder pin for some boats where the rudder pin was originally larger.
