Rudder Cable Stainless Steel 1/16 inch (1.6mm)- Wire Rope per Metre

G316 stainless steel is often known as marine grade due to its ability to tolerate salt water environments with minimal rusting.
This cable is made from 7 strands that each contain 7 wires of this quality, for a total of 49 wires, this gives the cable flexibility and the ability to resist kinking (especially compared to 1 x 9) cable without compromising durability in the difficult marine environment.

Diameter is 1/16th inch or approx 1.6 mm

Sold per metre.

This will suit as a replacement for most stainless steel rudder cables including those found on Spirit, Finn, Wilderness Systems, Perception, Dagger and other brands.

Cable will need to be crimped and may require additional connectors to attach to your rudder rear assembly.

Rudders rigged with Cord (Spectra Kevlar etc) may be able have this replaced with cable however replacement cord may be a better option in these cases and is available below or here
