Stainless Steel Thimble for Wire Cable

This Stainless Steel thimble is used mainly for replacement rudder cables. Commonly found on surf skis and many kayaks outfitted with rudders, the cable goes around the groove in the thimble to make a secure loop that will not wear or rub in the same way as a straight cable loop.
Often combined with a shackle to secure a rudder cable to a rudder rear assembly.

Made from G304 pressed Stainless steel suits is fine on our 2mm wire rudder cable (or wire rope) but has a nominal measurement to suit 2.5 mm – 3/32 inch diameter cable/ rope
Normally used on wire cable and held in place with a crimp it is commonly combined also with a U or D Shackle to attach it to the rudder.
Commonly found on many kayaks including Finn and Spirit kayaks fitted with a rudder
